Fear was designed to visualize the unique personality and character of my interviewer and her relationship with water. When she was young, she was afraid of the ocean because she never experienced it before and thought the ocean was filled with sharks. As she grew up and was exposed to the ocean more, she realized that her fear of ocean has been overcome with the joy she feels from the ocean. To visualize her relationship with the ocean, I searched a quote that resembles her experience and found “Fear is a big liar.” I placed red ocean, that represents fear, in front of the blue ocean, that represents joy. Watercolor was used to add the watery texture and natural gradient to vector shape.
